BlackRock Motor Park

An adaptive reuse of a disused mining Colliery, BlackRock Motor Park establishes a motor recreation and sports complex for car enthusiasts and corporate clients, including driving track, conference, catering and function facilities, resort stay, motor car village and garaging. The park will also offer 4WD experience, mountain bike trails, skid pan training and go-karting. 

The project required careful planning and collaboration to accommodate the needs of the stakeholders and interested parties including investors, council, neighbours and environmental groups. SHAC was able to find solutions that balanced the programmatic brief, respected and retained the remaining heritage elements, and enabled ongoing remediation and enhancement of the natural environment that had been damaged by decades of mining.

Approval has been granted and we look forward to the commencement of construction.
