Clarence Valley Council Depot

This project involved concept design through to documentation and construction phase services for a new council depot in Grafton, NSW. Facilities included; Admin Building, Workshop, Stores Warehouse, Work Sheds, Wash Bay, Hardstand Storage, Staff & Heavy Vehicle Parking. 

Clarence Valley Council engaged SHAC to assist in the amalgamation of five existing depots into a new facility in South Grafton. SHAC were able to engage with various stakeholders to refine spatial requirements and achieve maximum efficiency while maintaining functionality. Design challenges such as a sloping site, proximity of neighbouring residences and future proofing were overcome through careful design and planning that responded to the site topography, surrounding development and heavy vehicle access requirements.
